The Ramblers & Co.
(Shay Byrne of Access Security Products & Peter Hynes (The man of 1000
voices and Ireland's top Karaoke Show) will be taking over their new bar/restaurant
(Which will be called "The Rare Auld Times"(Named after the song
“Dublin In The Rare Auld Times” ,which was written for them
30yrs ago this year by that prolific songwriter Pete St John, and which
got them their first Gold Album) (Home of The Dublin City Ramblers -----
Formerly called "St Patrick's Well") on April 2nd. It is right
in the heart of the beautiful Harbour/Marina area, situated in the Old Town,
Porto Del Carmen, and beside the most magnificent local Church. The grand
opening will be on April 7th, Easter Saturday. It will be an evening reception
and a full music session, featuring The Ramblers themselves plus various
other acts right through to the early hours!!! All are welcome. It is Lanzarote's
finest Bar/Restaurant, opening at 10am every day, serving Breakfast, Lunch
& Dinner right throughout the day ,and also catering for Weddings, Parties,
Christenings etc, providing the finest food and drink anywhere. It will
also , hopefully ,be the home of sports fans of all genres, ie, Soccer,
GAA, Golf etc. You will be able to watch your special sporting event on
any one of several big screens, while relaxing in the most pleasant surroundings
. From time to time various celebrities from the sporting & entertainment
world whom the lads have met during their long careers will be dropping
in to join them on stage and sing a song or two, so you never know who you
might get the opportunity to meet.The lads will be playing in the bar themselves
right through April/May/June 2007 and at various times from there on. They
will always be on hand to greet you and make you welcome, no matter where
you come from. Each night you can express your own talents by singing a
song, reciting a poem or whatever your special talent may be. The "Ramblers
love the "Craic" (Fun) and mixing with the people. It's what they
do best, so come along and join them and have the time of your life!! There
are no strangers here, just friends you have not yet met! Looking forward
to meeting you all.
